Immersed as these pages are in the images and stories of homes we have built and are building, whose designs owe so much to timeless architectural principles and forms redolent of the Georgian and Regency periods in English history, it is only appropriate that in trying to capture what we as a company believe in and the journey we have travelled thus far should be best described by a Regency author who, like the homes we build, has a unique and timeless quality that defies simplistic classifications of age or relevance.

For Jane Austen, good company was “the company of clever, well-informed people who have a great deal of conversation”. No matter the social context in which this was written, Austen has undoubtedly captured what contemporary economists and business leaders have identified in more prosaic terms as characteristics of a successful company.

We do not presume to be “clever” but we understand our craft in all its intricacies and variations. We are as well-informed about the historical significance of what we do as we are of the environmental and technological significance of the materials and techniques we adopt in creating these beautiful contemporary homes. Above all, there is a great deal of conversation because each one of us, in his or her own way, is passionate about the work we do and the way we go about it, the investors who share our vision and our success and, above all, those individuals and families who have come to us to create a home that will mature over time and enrich their lives, providing a legacy that is as durable and authoritative as any of its older siblings.
